frankenheller-s-raps-honig
Frankenheller`s Rapeseed Honey

Honey has been valued for centuries and can still be found in all cultures today. It takes a lot of time and even more bees to create it. But what is honey anyway? Honey is a thin to thick, golden-yellow mass that is created when bees convert the nectar of flowers. A bee produces almost a level teaspoon of honey in its lifetime, which is about 9g. Honey is firmly anchored in our lives. We use it as a spread on bread, to sweeten food and drinks, or to give dressings the right kick.

What makes our honey so special?

Our honey comes from the Maifeld, a part of the Eastern Eifel, which is located near the beautiful Eltz Castle. But the location is one thing, the careful handling of the natural product honey and the appreciation of nature is another.
Our honey is not warmed or heated. It is filtered once and stirred at room temperature so that it is spreadable. We show our gratitude to the bees by harvesting each of the three colonies only once. What exactly does that mean?
In industry and among hobby beekeepers, it is common to harvest twice a year. To help the bees get through the winter, they are given sugar water. Not with us! The bees are allowed to keep their honey in winter so that they can get through the winter well.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0614/0814/9697/files/Raps_Honig_clean_9fcc0551-fcd0-4618-8e8e-b89c95e53369.png?v=1774260196
